Ganjingzi District, U-shaped on a map, lies at the boundaries of the urban and rural areas of the Dalian city. The district stretches from 38°47′ to 39°07′ north latitude and 121°16′ to 121°45′ east longitude, with Huanghai Sea on the east and south, Bohai Sea on the north, bordering Jinzhou District and Dalian Economy and Technology Development Zone on the northeast, Shahekou District on the south and Lvshunkou District on the southwest.
