In 2006, the Ganjingzi district had a rapid growth in industry. The total value of industry reached 34.26633 billion Yuan, up 32.9% than that of the previous year, accompalishing108.9% of the whole year’s plan. The total value of industry in individual business and other ownership system formats added up to 32.13001 billion Yuan, increased by 34.3%.
 
    The industry of the counties and sub-districts shows a growing trend. In 2006, the total value of industry in Dalian Bay sub-district reached 6.61448 billion Yuan, topped other counties and sub-districts, increased by 24.2%, and the total value of industry in Zhoushuizi sub-district reached 601.24 million Yuan, increased by 230.1% and accomplished 270.8% of the year’s plan, which topped other counties and sub-districts in its rapid increment speed.

    1. Rapid growth in industry was sustained. In 2006, large-scale industry kept a rapid growth with a total value of 14.66554 billion Yuan, increased by 67.4%.  The total value of industry in December reached 2.50525 billion Yuan, increased 120.85%, topped other months.
    2. The benefits of the industrial companies increased rapidly. The total profit reached 137.67 million Yuan, increased by 50.9% than that of the previous year, the increase value was 3.84357 billion Yuan, increased by 56.7% and the profit and tax value added up to 561.25 million Yuan, increased 31.2%.
    3. The parts of produce and sale connected with each other intimately. In 2006, the total sales value reached 31.98243 billion Yuan, increased by 28.6% than that of the previous year. The total sales rate was 93.3%, decreased by 3.1%; that in suburb was 90.4%, decreased by 4.3%.  The total sales value of the large-scale industrial companies reached 13.61575 billion Yuan, increased by 35.0%, and the sales rate of that was 96.7%, decreased by 0.9% and still in a higher level.
    4. The main industry showed a growing trend. In 2006, the total value of the manufacturing industry reached 5.59614 billion Yuan, up 97.3% than that of the previous year. The manufacturing industry, 38.2% of the district’s industry, brought 31.5% of the overall industrial growth.
