    In 2006, the construction and management bureau of the rural and urban areas in Ganjingzi district completed its tasks successfully. Construction work moved on stably. The district’s public greenbelt covered an area of nearly 600,000 sq meters. Nearly 100,000 trees were planted and over 110,000 sq meters were extended. Totally 211 roads, ten were overhauled and 72 were servicing, were rebuilt with an area of over 50,000 sq meters, 22,000 sq meters were walking passage. The construction of the improvement of Laxia River started in late January of 2006, and completed on June 28. The new area of the airport with 11 kilometers in length, 5.3 kilometers completed, covers an area of 14.22 sq kilometers. Totally 2.1 kilometers road in the park of the airport’s new areas have been completed with over 16,000 trees and 20,000 sq meters grass. Over 6,700 illegal buildings with an area of more than 480,000 sq meters are pulled down, and over 1,500 spots with more than 500,000 sq meters are mobilized. The greenhouse with an area of over one million sq meters was torn down, sending back over 1.7 million sq meters land. More than 100,000 local citizens attended the activity of the Patriotic Sanitation Cleanness Month, sending out around 100,000 propagandistic materials. Irrigations on nearly 300,000 sq meters grassland at the airport road, district Government Park, Dingshan Park and Jinjia Road Park were made by 800 workers and watering carts. Tasks on flood prevention and snow clearness were completed successfully.

    In 2006, the per capital income of the peasants in Ganjingzi district was 11,411 RMB yuan, up 24.3% than that of the previous year according to the survey.
